Football Game and Senior Night

We will no longer be doing an 8th grade/Senior Night on Thursday, Oct. 15. The football team has gotten the OK to play football in the county so we will have a football GAME on Friday, Oct. 16. We are the pep band for football games so every student is invited to come out and particpate in the pep band. We will play the Star Spangled Banner, the Fight Song (hopefully), and the music we have been working on in class (this is why we've been working on it).
Those who have been coming on Wed. nights will get to perform Don't Stop Believin at some point during the night.
We are asking every student to bring a lawn chair so we can space ourselves out around the track. I believe Matt Roach, the AD, said that only family is allowed to come to the game. Please be masked for the safety of those around you.
I don't have times yet, but will get that figured out ASAP.
We will meet on Thursday night, as of right now, for a rehearsal for the next night. This rehearsal may be shortened, keep your eyes out for more emails.
A second thing I want to bring to your attenting is the Mizzou Band Day. Last week, Mr. Wall recorded the efforts to the Wednesday night group and sent it to the University of Missouri to be considered for their 75th Annual Mizzou Band Day. We were accepted and there will be a live stream of the event on Saturday, Oct. 10 beginning at 12:00.
The event is a celebration of what students can do even during times of struggle and insecurity. Out exact performance time is still to come and I will send that when I get it.
I know this is a long email, I'm sorry. I also know that there are so many questions to be answered and I will get more information to you as I get the information from others or have the time to talk to staff and make some decisions.
As always, I thank you for your support of your students and can't wait for the day when we can all safely meet as a group in one room.
